Ask! Ask! Ask!
Some people are afraid to ask questions because they are afraid of looking foolish and stupid.
To be specific, they are actually afraid of dealing with REJECTION.
The word 'no' means 'the end of the world' for this kind of people.
The truth is, they are rejecting themselves in advance.
They don't even make effort to ask, they simply give up and let their curiosity unfold.
As students, this is not the right thing to do because asking questions is one of the important ways to acquire knowledge.
Be wise and be confident. Do not hold yourself back.
Ask everything that you want to know.
Ask politely, be clear and specific.
Some people might not understand what you are saying, so do not feel shy to ask again.
Keep asking until you get the answers that you need.
Believe that there is no such thing as 'non-trifling' questions.
Some people think that there are other ways to find out what they wanted to know.
They search through the net and through books, but somehow they did not realise that asking is actually a simple but powerful key to success.
Even if you read the books, you still need to ask others when you come across something that you don't understand.
The point is, you gain knowledge by simply asking questions.
If your questions are rejected, keep trying till you succeed.
For example, you submitted your written assignment and was rejected by your lecturer. Do not give up!
You should put extra effort to try and improve your writing.
Reflect yourself and try to identify your weakness instead of getting zero for your assignment just because you are afraid to re-submit them.
It is just the same as when you are applying for jobs.
You might experiencing several rejections before you are appointed for the job.
You have to endure rejections in order to made it to the top.
Sergey Brin and Larry Page, the co-founders of Google, for instance, had approached Yahoo! in 1998 and suggested a merger. Yahoo! suggested the young Googlers to keep working on their little school project and come back when they had grown up.
And nowadays, you are so far left behind if you did not know what 'Google' is.
That is the example of people who never give up. They keep trying until they achieve their goals.
There's nothing wrong of being rejected. It's just the matter of mind-setting.
So,be positive and believe in youself.
Ask as many as you can, and do not give up.
There's nothing to lose by asking.
So, start ASKING TODAY!
